The Magic Word that Can Boost Your Income

Magic wand Are you not earning what you’re worth? Does it seem that people don’t value your services or you’re just not attracting that many clients or gigs? If you’re a musician, creative type, or speaker, listen up! There’s a magic word that you need to start using.

I get requests from event organizers all the time. Sometimes, they want one or more of my bands or solo artists. Sometimes they want me to bring out all my drums to do a drum circle or special event, or to play percussion. Other times, they’d like me or one of my other speakers to speak. When I ask them about their budget, they often reveal that there is no budget. They just want free entertainment or a free speaker. Ummm…that would be a “No.” None of us would be in business for very long if we worked for free.

Is this your business or a hobby?

If you read my previous post or saw my videos on this topic, you’d know that this is a frequent occurrence for musicians and speakers. I believe it’s because event organizers must think we do this as a hobby or a side gig and therefore assume we’ll donate our time and talents.

Well, there is one word that can change all that. It vaults you to a new level and separates you from the hobbyists. It will make others take you more seriously and you’ll take yourself, your business, and your career more seriously as well. Maybe you’re using this word already. Maybe you’re not. However, if you’ve been doing this for a while and you’re still taking those free gigs, chances are you aren’t.

It nips that “Oh but think about the exposure” nonsense in the bud. What’s the word? Click this quick video and find out!
