READY FOR SOME GOOD VIBRATIONS?

Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, stressed out, or scattered? Want to try something fun that helps beat stress, and improves clarity, focusing, and healing? Therapeutic drumming helped me and now I help others. It is my mission to encourage, empower, and equip people to rock the next stage of their lives, find their joy, feel the rhythm, and HAVE FUN!

This is not African, tribal, or Shamanic drumming and it’s not a drum lesson but something completely different! It’s a fun, interactive, drumming experience!

Have some fun! Whack on a drum!

If you want an easy and fun activity with proven health benefits, why not try therapeutic drumming? It’s backed by scientific research and established protocols. It’s great for clarity, stress relief, focusing or ADD/ADHD issues, corporate team building, corporate wellness, and more! No musical experience necessary! I use hand drums and small percussion instruments and bring everything to you!

Types of classes and workshops:

Special needs classes: Boosts coordination, listening skills, cooperation, self-esteem, and reduces stress, and ADD/ADHD issues (I’m an ADD/ADHD specialist.).

Seniors: Classes for the 55+ crowd! It’s a blast! Boosts clarity, healing, coordination, cognitive function, and creates a sense of community. It also burns calories and boosts the immune system!

Corporate events: Interactive drumming is a great ice-breaker activity! It’s also a great addition to a company’s health and wellness offerings, or as a team-building activity. It brings people together in a unique and fun way!

Schools: Who wouldn’t want to whack on a drum or shake a shaker or tambourine?! Special programs for students, teachers, at-risk students, etc. Great at exam time, during a teacher work day, or as a fun surprise! It also improves academic performance and behavior! Can be combined with an inspirational talk or with ADD/ADD training. See my speaker page for more info.

Churches: Drumming from a Christian perspective. Classes or workshops can be combined with a theme, a talk, or with scripture references. Great motivation, encouragement, and fun for church groups, retreats, or conferences. Music and yes, even drumming is mentioned throughout the Bible. I play percussion in my church band and I have a certificate in Christian counseling.

Non-profits: Classes, workshops, or special events. Have drums, will travel. Great for stress relief, healing, and for “at-risk populations.”

Private sessions: For kids and adults. Sessions are tailored to the individual’s needs and can include business, success, ADHD coaching, or Christian counseling. Virtual sessions also available.

Private drum lessons on the drum pad or kit are offered on Friday afternoons at Joyful Sounds Academy of Music and Art in downtown Fuquay-Varina, NC.

I have trained with Health Rhythms, Drums and Disabilties, Onye Onyemaechi, the American Association of Christian Counselors, and I’m a member of the Drum Circle Facilitator’s Guild. I also play percussion in a rockin’ church band, I’m a professional percussionist, and I’m known as “Dori the Drum Chick.”

Here are some videos that can give you a better idea:

“Dori, you rock!! Your enthusiasm and passion are evident and contagious. I wanted to take a moment to let you know how much I appreciate your tireless work to help people achieve their highest potential. The drumming is great and has helped immensely. Doing the drumming regularly has helped my son heal from a very serious injury that was sustained on the football field and has helped me as well. However, it is you and your innate perception of people that sets you apart. I can’t think of anyone better the help guide a person in their journey of building a better business and life for themselves. ~ Kim B., Clinton, NC

I so appreciate you offering me the opportunity to play, for the first time in public, the drum I made last summer. You have a unique ability to empower your students to let down their guard and play freely and authentically without fear of being judged or criticized. It was an unexpected gift and an experience that I have taken with me into other areas of my life. Thank you! Keep on rockin’, Dori! ~ Leigh S. Raleigh
