Ready to Take a Leap and Fly?

Are you feeling antsy? It may not be just cabin fever or the winter blahs. It may be time to make a shift in your business, career, or life.

Since it’s a leap year, maybe it’s time to think about leaping forward. Where are you in your career or your business? Are you struggling to find clients or gigs? Or are you flitting around all over the place trying different things, in hopes that something will click?

One thing I’ve gotten used to living in the South is that there are a lot of bugs, especially beetles. Some of them are fairly common, like this ladybug, but others are quite unusual. On the surface, this ladybug looks like a tiny, crawling insect. When their shells open up, they reveal their wings.

Have you ever noticed that beetles have a habit of winding up on their backs? I see them like this on my deck and walkway all the time. Wings are of no use when this happens. The beetles keep flailing away, in hopes that their situation will change. This must be exhausting! Their efforts don’t produce any significant results and they just can’t seem to take flight. Maybe you can relate to this scenario.

They need someone to come along who can help them get back up. Some people may walk right by or, worse yet, step on them. I tell them to hang on – and then flip them over so they can take off. This could be because I’ve been flat on my back several times. It’s hard to know where to turn or what to do to improve your situation.

Starting over or starting a business is frustrating. Why do you think I whack on drums?! Lol! If you have convinced yourself that your business or career will never take off, then you are setting yourself up for failure. It’s almost impossible to turn things around if you don’t believe that you will succeed or that things will get better.

God has the power to turn a setback into a comeback but not if you give up! Get angry. Fight for your dreams. Get up, start flapping your wings, and get ready to take flight!

If you’re feeling stuck and you need help brainstorming, that’s my specialty! Let’s talk! I can help you monetize your message, rock your brand or your career, move your talent forward, manage your ADD/ADHD symptoms…or we can drum to help you reset your mindset and your rhythm.

Many times what’s needed is very obvious to someone else but not to you. Hang in there, keep the faith, reach out for help when needed, and get ready to rock YOUR next stage!
