An Attitude of Gratitude: 5 Tips for the Holidays

Happy Thanksgiving!It always seems like there is more emphasis this time of year on what you can get than what you’ve already gotten. So what are you thankful for?

Moving forward by giving back

If you’ve even been through a layoff or a series of layoffs, it’s tough to see through the fog. My husband has been laid off 5 times and twice right before the holidays. I was once laid off at the same time. Talk about stress! However, we made it through and were blessed in ways you cannot imagine.

We received anonymous donations of food and clothing from our church and even toys for the kids at Christmastime! One of these elves left an electric guitar! When we got back on our feet, we made sure to pay it forward.
